Headteacher's Message

Mr N LambertDear Parents/Carers,

We have had a very positive start to 2017.

We continue to work very hard as a school to improve our teaching of maths. As a result children are showing much more enthusiasm in maths lessons.

We are also working towards the next stage of the Rights Respecting School Award. This involves embedding children’s rights throughout the school curriculum and making children’s rights part of our school ethos.

The School Council have met recently to discuss school uniform (thank you to those parents who responded with their views) and how to encourage healthy eating in schools. As a result we have designed ‘5 a day’ cards for children to record how healthy they are being!

We will be welcoming a new member of staff after the half term break. Mr Abidan Edwards will be replacing Lauren Stewart as Sports Apprentice and joining our PE Team.

Behaviour continues to improve with the vast majority of pupils following the Chilwell Code and Expectations for Learning.

Thank you for your support with our work so far this year.

Yours faithfully,

Nick Lambert
